Christmas at the Train – Greenwood
Kick off your holiday weekend with a trip to the Christmas at the Train event at Greenwood’s Railroad Historical Center! This winter wonderland is a must-see, with dazzling lights and decorations that will make you feel like you’ve stepped into a storybook. Sip on some hot cocoa, nibble on cookies, and let the kids play with the train toys. Don’t forget to ring the engine bell and snap a photo with the special characters from Greenwood High School Theatre. It’s the perfect family outing!

Gingerbread House Competition – Greenwood
Got a sweet tooth and a knack for creativity? Visit the 2025 Greenwood Gingerbread House Competition, co-hosted by Uptown Greenwood and The Museum. Show off your edible masterpieces and let the holiday spirit guide your creativity! With a limit of 30 entries, you’ll want to register early to secure your spot. Winners will be announced on December 20 at 12:00 noon, so mark your calendars and get baking!

Drive Through The Anderson Lights Display
Looking for a dazzling drive? Head over to the Anderson Lights Display at 150 Rose Valley Boulevard, where 2.5 miles of stunning light displays will light up your night! Enjoy a Christmas village, a chance to see Santa, and unique entertainment on select nights. It’s the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit from the comfort of your car.
When: Thanksgiving Day through Christmas Day, 5:30 – 10 PM

Go Ice Skating In Wren Park – Anderson
Lace up your skates and glide into the holidays at Holiday Ice in Carolina Wren Park! Enjoy the crisp winter air and the joy of ice skating with the whole family. Admission is just $5 per person (ages 6 and older), and kids 5 and under skate free on the kiddie rink. It’s a perfect way to make lasting memories and embrace the season.
