If I could give 10 stars for Eric and his crew Sam and Mark I would! Great communication throughout the entire job. Super efficient and a pleasure to work with. Great price (yes, I got alot of estimates before choosing Eric and his crew) and just great all around service. If you need any type of septic work done.. this is the company and these are your guys! ryan wittman51 days ago(Read below for details) First off I want to say that Eric from hometown septic and his crew fixed my problem plus the additional items I requested. He is professional and very quick to respond with any questions and a great source of knowledge and experience. Now, some details. Last year I had my septic pumped (not that well) by another company and while in there they told me that my outlet baffle was deterating. I researched this and planned to fix it myself. Time and other obligations got in the way. Fast forward to today, I have an RV that has a fulltime occupant. I empty the black tank into my main line connecting to the septic through a clean out under my house. Last time I emptied it I got a strong smell in the house. So this was the reason to call Eric. He came out and started right away digging to find the lids of my 40+ year old septic. I know this man cares because it was hot, humid, and he disclosed he just recently had surgery. Once opened we talked and I told him I'd like the outlet baffle repaired, two risers installed, and a clean out on the outside. The next day, they came and did the work in a timely fashion. After talking with Eric I knew I could trust that he would do what I asked and do it right! Thank you Eric and your Hometown Septic team.Posted on Google

Ryan Kotulak81 days agoEric Gilbert from Hometown Septic Solutions LLC really saved the day for us after we closed on our new home in the Fountain Inn / Laurens County area. We were in the process of buying the house when an initial septic inspection on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 flagged the system as failed, with heavy backflow during pump-out and the drain field supposedly needing a full replacement. The quote for that work came in at over $18,000. The inspection came right after a stretch of significant rainfall across the Upstate that left the ground and leach field super saturated. Water was backing up through the saturated leach field, hitting a deteriorated baffle on the outlet side of the 1000-gallon tank, and flowing back into the inlet side. The previous inspectors apparently never lifted the outlet lid to actually check the baffle itself. We kind of accepted the quote and moved forward with closing. After we closed on the house, we contacted Eric for a second opinion. He came out and did a proper, thorough job. He ran a camera scope through the lines and out into the leach field. He confirmed the drain field itself was in good shape — the pipe runs straight to a Y-split with no crushing, no blockages, and good distribution. No distribution issues or saturation problems in the field. The real problem was the deteriorated baffle, which the recent heavy rain had made obvious through backflow. Eric fixed the actual issue the right way: • Installed watertight risers on both the inlet and outlet sides of the tank (up to 3 ft deep) so future maintenance is easy and clean. • Repaired the outlet section up to 5 feet, put in a new baffle T, and sealed the tank. • Installed a Polylock filter on the outlet (now accessible thanks to the risers). Total came to just $1,200 and we were pleasantly surprised at how straightforward and affordable the real fix was. He also gave us solid maintenance tips, a 1-year warranty on parts and labor, and set the next pumping for around June 2031. On top of all that, Eric referred us to a couple of other contractors he’s worked with for additional work on the house, and every one of them has been excellent too. Eric is the kind of guy who does the job right even when nobody’s watching. He didn’t try to upsell or scare us — he just diagnosed it properly, explained what was really going on (including how the recent rain interacted with the bad baffle), and fixed the actual problem at a fair price. If you’re dealing with septic concerns on a home purchase or need septic work done in the upstate, call Eric at Hometown Septic Solutions. He’s honest, thorough, and genuinely saved us from a huge unnecessary expense. Highly recommend him.Posted on Google

Had my septic tank pumped today for the first time. It was a great experience. Eric and Cole did a nice job. They called on their way to our home and gave us an ETA of 7:45-8:00 am and arrived on time. Both of them were very polite and explained to me how everything works(our first experience with septic). The whole process took about 1 1/2 hours. Hometown Septic is my go to company from now on. Price was reasonable and,even just as important, Eric returned all my communications and did everything he said he would do. Their price seemed very high, saw a Hometown Septic ad and read through the comments. Each question was responded to with a dm. I sent a message early morning, thinking they would respond around 8am. Nope, Eric responded immediately. Asked me a few basic questions and provided a very reasonable price. He was even able to fit me in same day. I am so pleased with the service, I had them put me on a 4 year reminder email. The key is maintenance! Eric is very personable and professional. It was completely full and I just thought I might should have it pumped last week. So they came today 5/20/25 and spent 3 hrs. pumping it out .
